Who we are

CERN Astro Club is composed of CERN and non-CERN members. It was founded in 1999 and since then it tried to bring together astronomers, amateurs or professional passioned about astrophotography, astrophysics and astronomy in general. 

Really, the only requirement to join the club is the love of astronomy and a willingness to exchange and learn.

Our philosophy is twofold:

• Bring experienced amateur astronomers together in an exchange of knowledge: visual observation as well as deep sky and planetary imagery. Also solar observation and imaging.
• Help beginners master their new equipment, be it a telescope setup or a CCD camera.​
