Cern Prévessin site

Started setup at 19h00 ended 21h10 (clouds forming).

Meteo conditions :Clear sky. Temperature -1C to -4C. A little condensation and frost. No wind (meteo predicted N, NW). Strong jetstream.

Waning gibbous moon (75%).

seeing : good : 2-seconds seeing (with metaguide) = 1.0"-1.5"

Equipment: We setup the Celestron Edge HD8 at focal length 2000mm with a ASI533MC camera. Also a DSLR camera on a Vixen mount.

Present: Matthias S. , Jan B.

Collimating the HD8 with metaguide on Lyra. Good intra and extra focal concentric rings. In-focus small adjustment needed.

Taking 120s videos @ 200fps and 5ms frame exposure of Jupiter and Mars. Much more stable (less wobbling and deformation) and more details visible on the life frames indicating that turbulence was modest. Maybe due to North wind coming from Leman lake being more laminar, instead of W wind orthogonal to Jura mountain ridges.

Unfortunately, clouds were forming slowly and fully obscured the sky by 21h30...
